WebNinja

About us

A small team that finishes things

WebNinja is a digital technology agency building websites, web applications, mobile apps and business systems for organisations that need software to actually work.

How WebNinja works
Our story

We started because good software was being sold badly

WebNinja began in 2014 after too many conversations with business owners who had paid for a website and received a brochure, or paid for a system and received a demo that never quite reached production.

The pattern was always the same. Nobody had asked what the software was supposed to achieve commercially, so nobody could tell whether it had. We decided to start every engagement with that question and let the technical decisions follow from the answer.

Today we build websites, web applications, mobile apps and business systems for organisations across Zimbabwe and beyond. We are still deliberately small, because the thing clients value most is being able to speak to the person who wrote the code.

Our mission

To give growing organisations software that measurably improves how they operate, built on technology they can maintain and afford, by people who explain their decisions in plain language.

Our vision

A region where a small business can commission serious software with the same confidence a large one does, and where nobody has to accept that a website is something you rebuild from scratch every three years.

What we stand for

Four things we will not trade away

Preparation over speed

The cheap way is to paint over mill scale and deliver tomorrow. We would rather blast it properly and deliver on Thursday.

Tell people the cheaper option

If DTF will do what you want for half the price of screens, we will say so, even though the screens bill better.

Behave well as a subcontractor

Work that comes from another workshop stays theirs. We do not approach their client afterwards.

Finish the job

A job is done when it fits, works and has been signed off on site, not when it leaves the workshop.

Why clients stay

Most of our work comes from referrals

These are the reasons existing clients give when they recommend us.

Two trades, one order

Kit the crew and fabricate the site steel on the same job card, with one delivery and one invoice instead of chasing two suppliers.

We say when it is not worth it

If embroidery will pucker your fabric, or a lighter section will do the job, you hear it before you order rather than after.

Prepared properly, not just painted

Steel is blasted back to clean metal before coating. It costs a little more and lasts years longer, which is the whole point.

Your artwork stays on file

Screens, stitch files and colour references are kept, so next year's order matches this year's exactly.

The team

The people who will actually do the work

No account managers between you and the person building your project.

Peter Mbweku

Peter Mbweku

Founder

Started the workshop with one press and a welder. Still quotes most jobs personally, and is the person most likely to talk you into the cheaper option when it will do the same work.

Chiedza Mutasa

Chiedza Mutasa

Production Manager, Garments

Runs the print floor and the embroidery machines. Digitises logos in-house and is fussy about test stitch-outs, which is why repeat orders match the originals.

Tapiwa Zhou

Tapiwa Zhou

Workshop Foreman, Fabrication

Coded welder with twenty years on structural steel. Builds the jigs that keep repeat trusses interchangeable and marks up every section for the erection crew.

Anesu Chirwa

Anesu Chirwa

Estimator & Site Measurer

Measures gates and openings, prices jobs and chases the drawings. The reason quotes come back in days rather than weeks.

How we work

Six stages, no surprises

01

Talk

Tell us what you need. A drawing, a photograph or a description is enough to start.

02

Measure

For steelwork we measure on site. For garments we take real sizes rather than guessing from a headcount.

03

Quote

A firm written price against a stated specification, with the lead time we can actually hold.

04

Sample

One printed garment or an approved shop drawing before anything goes into production.

05

Make

Printed, stitched, cut, welded and finished in the workshop, under cover and on a jig where it matters.

06

Deliver

Sorted, marked up and delivered in the order you need it, or installed by the people who made it.

Got a job for us? Let us quote it.

Send a drawing, a photograph, or just a description. You get a firm price, a lead time we can hold, and an honest word if there is a cheaper way to do it.
