Powder Coating & Finishing

Sandblasting, priming and oven-cured powder coating, so steel that lives outdoors keeps its finish for years rather than months.

Most steelwork does not fail because the welding was poor. It fails because it was painted over mill scale and rust crept underneath within a season. Preparation is the whole job.

The process

Steel is degreased and sandblasted back to clean metal, primed where the application calls for it, then powder coated and oven cured so the finish bonds to the surface rather than sitting on it.

Colours and finishes

Standard RAL colours in gloss, satin and matt, plus textured finishes that hide handling marks on gates and railings. We can also coat items you have fabricated elsewhere.

What is included

Blasted back to metal Mill scale and rust removed before anything is applied.
Oven cured Baked so the coating bonds rather than air-dried on the surface.
Standard RAL colours Gloss, satin, matt and textured finishes to a known colour reference.
Third-party work accepted We will coat steel you or another workshop fabricated.

What it does for your business

  • Years, not seasons Prepared and cured properly, an outdoor gate holds its finish far longer.
  • Tougher than brush paint Resists chipping from handling, installation and daily use.
  • Consistent colour A referenced RAL number means a later repair still matches.
