A homeowner had been quoted for an off-the-shelf gate that would not have fitted the driveway opening, which was 60mm out of square across the span. Standard sizes bind, and a binding gate destroys its motor within a year.
We measured on site, made the gate to the actual opening, and matched the burglar bar pattern to the gate infill so the whole property reads as one design rather than three separate purchases.
The challenge
A driveway opening 60mm out of square across the span, and a homeowner who did not want the house to look like a prison.
What we built
Measured on site and fabricated to the real opening. A lighter vertical pattern with a horizontal band picked up in both the gate and the window bars, powder coated in a single satin colour so the elements match.
The results
The gate runs without binding and was fitted automation-ready; the motor went on six weeks later without any modification to the steel.
